Carnivore - A meat eating mecca

I celebrated yesterday by heading to Carnivore. Now, anyone - absolutely anyone - that has passed through Nairobi knows about this place - a true meat eating mecca that serves you an incessant supply of roasted meats from the moment you arrive ad nauseum. In the space of 2 hours I devoured copious amounts of beef, chicken, pork, lamb, camel, crocodile, and ostrich. And one potato.

The place has been around for 25 years now, is IMO overpriced, and packed. But the loyal tourist will be disappointed to know they do not serve game meat anymore, since it was banned by the government. No more zebras or gazelles. Still it was packed.

Lesser known to the tourist and the visitor passing through is that Carnivore also has a club in the same complex. Makes sense, because after eating so much, you really need to work some fat off on the dance floor…

As for cost, food at Carnivore, Ksh 1600.
Checking another thing off my list of things to do in Nairobi, Priceless.
